Self-Help If Resources are Limited

Although I live in a fairly big city, psychiatric care here is little to none. There are about three decent psychiatric doctors, and they're not taking new adult patients. If you live in a city in which psychiatric resources are slim, what can you do to help yourself?

I'm dealing with essentially the same issue. To help myself, I've been trying to build positive habits based on hobbies, taking walks/exercise, and things I need to do. Drawing used to be my main hobby before I started getting symptoms, so I started out trying to draw once a week before bed. Now, despite the lack of energy, I actually find myself wanting to draw again! It's a small start but after years of not doing anything it feels great.
